In collaboration with the baudoin lebon Gallery, Coldefy presents the exhibition Unexpected, by artist Karen Farkas. This collaboration marks the second installment in a series dedicated to exploring the intersections between art and architecture.
For Thomas Coldefy and Isabel Van Haute, “art and architecture share a profound connection; both possess an expressive and communicative essence, whether it be a set of complex ideas or a livable space. They engage the senses and serve as forms of cultural expression of humanity. Our work aims to blur the boundaries between these elements: the exhibition of artists we host contributes to this process.”
Unexpected is an invitation to explore the links and points of contact between these two creative fields that inspire and reinvent each other.
Between raw expressiveness and spiritual quest, Karen Farkas’s work delves into materiality and immateriality, the tangible and the transcendent. Her landscapes, paper works, and glass sculptures prompt a reflection on space, color, and light. The artist presents recent works, paintings, oils, and glass sculptures, initiating an unprecedented dialogue with Coldefy’s architectural creativity.
