Intergenerational Residence

The 1M3 block is located at the entrance to the ZAC des Jardins Intercampus and aims to establish an intergenerational residence. This ZAC participates in the development of the South-West districts of the city of Amiens and will be the first Eco-district of the Metropolis. The link between all the buildings is made through a large common outdoor space, a veritable heart of greenery that will allow the development of a set of shared gardens and promote social ties between residents. All of the shared premises are located in the center of the plot, making them accessible to everyone and constituting a real gathering place.

The horizontal circulations by external passageways also participate in this invitation to interaction in order to create a friendly environment and bring a quality of life to the occupants of the residence. Much of intergenerational relations takes place in the informal sector. Through all of these processes, the concepts of conviviality, community, openness and diversity that are dear to the identity of the neighbourhood are respected and enhanced.
